Super 7 Salad; Eat Smart

I have officially found my new favorite salad. I have seriously been eating it for lunch for the past 3 days. My mom found it a few weeks ago at Costco and kept bragging about it on the phone so I was SO excited to come home and try it.

482196_329099720545772_1635272374_nIt is a blend of Kale, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Green Cabbage and Chicory. All the different super greens blended within the salad provides a wide variety of textures to the delicious salad experience.

The blend comes with a baggie of cranberries, pumpkin seeds and a poppy seed dressing.

I omit the poppy seed dressing and then add a wee bit of the pumpkin seeds and cranberries. Just enough to get a few surprises in a every couple of bites 😛

I love putting balsamic vinegar and olive oil on my salad as well as Apple Cider Vinegar.

On this salad I switched it up a bit though and used Cinnamon Pear Balsamic & Avocado Oil.

I top mine off with some marinated chicken. For picture purposes I only put 1/3 of the chicken in the bowl… If I added all the chicken I usually eat it would have covered the beautiful salad underneath!

Every time I make the salad I have used a different balsamic as well as oil. Needless to say it is delicious with ACV, Cinnamon Pear Balsamic  Pomegranate Balsamic  Plain Balsamic,  Olive Oil and Avocado Oil.

I highly recommend purchasing this bag of wonder. It is very affordable and it stays fresh for a really long time! Lots of salad blends get icky and questionable a few days after opening but this stays crisp and ready to go!

If you omit the added dressing this salad is 100% ‘clean’. The dressing is unfortunately chock full of added sugars (the cranberries have sugar on them too…but.. oh well. Live a little  :P) I just toss the dressing and make my own!

Thank you Eat Smart for providing a quick, delicious and healthy salad blend for all of us busy bee’s. I know that this blend is sold in Costco and Lucky’s… not quite sure if it is sold elsewhere but keep your eyes peeled for the bag above!

Question: Have you guys tried this salad before?
